The final farewell to Eckart Wintzen took place today in Amsterdam. Many, many people like me came to say their last goodbye to this special man.....We will all miss him a lot...

Roderick had his 7th birthday last week when we were in Scicli. That was very nice for him to have it in such a wonderful place, but a true birthday party with all your friends is naturally the thing to have when you become 7....
Talking about birthday parties. I bought the new Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds album....very good indeed.

A great dinner with Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten tonight. Boris is a good cook and a terrific host...Next to discussing the state of affairs in media and technology, we discussed Thenextweb conference taking place next week. I'll be moderating a start up panel on Friday, so maybe I see you there...

The analogue line of photography takes a little longer to develop. Today I got the first processed roll of film back from the shoot in Scicli. It is probably just my imagination, but film does seem to have that little bit of extra oomph... See for yourself here

Easter is big this year for us. Not only will be going to Sicily next week to see the processions ( and the Etna), but Roderick is preparing for the Easter procession tomorrow in Amsterdam... He has made his stick and today we baked the little rooster to go on top of it...

Today I was elected Chairman of Ipan, the Dutch Interactive professionals association. Together with board members Suzan Fluitman, Gijs Vroom and Vincent Gravesteyn we are planning to create some great hype, goodies, content and excitement for our members.

John Melskens wanted to shoot with the Leica Noctilux this Saturday. It was a while since I used the 'King of the night' myself, but then I understood quickly again, that this is a very special lens indeed. Difficult, close to impossible, to focus at short distances at F1, but fantastic when succeeding...Some more pictures at this Flickr set...
