My first shots with the N95 are my first efforts to start shooting and exploring with this new device. There are a lot of elements to find on this nifty and snazzy little machine and once I will have installed Bliin, it will offer me most of what I need I think. Let's see
Anyhow the pictures are of the guys of Lift from Geneva, one of our Picnic alliance partners. They where on their way to Korea and we had the chance to spend a few hours together...

Blognomics 07 the third in the series of new media events is behind us again. A roller coaster with again more speakers as last time, how many one can fit in a few hours remains the puzzle to crack, some more Krijn and I think. In stead of depth, we took the breadth road again...
We enjoyed it a lot, and of course we hope everybody did. The comments and post can be found through among others Technorati....

What is happening with TV and moving picture was tonights topic at Ipan. I had the honor moderating the evening, since Ronnie Overgoor was part of the panel. Very challenging moderating such an impressive panel. The MP3 reports can be found on the Ipan website shortly, the video at TV4b and the pictures as of right now.

In June 2005 I went to Japan and of the many interesting media and technology applications we saw, HDTV for me was a true eyeopener. Unfortunately HDTV is still not really around and only since very recently true 1080p TV's can be bought here in The Netherlands. I went for the Sony 40w2000, an impressive machine indeed! Connected to it is an Apple TV. A great combination indeed and up and running straight out of the box. A little more HD content would be appreciated...

The team is in full preparation for Picnic '07. One of the elements to understand in detail is the location of Picnic, the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam.....

At today's IPAN board meeting we discussed the next event that will be all about an update on New Television developments. Television requires both creativity and money to be successful. Ronnie brought a briefcase with the latter? We will never know as he did not want to share the contents of it...

The final media activity on this very nice and sunny day was reading through a lot of printed magazines. In the Emerce of the month I hit our advertisement for Blognomics 07 that will take place on May 10. As the room has a limited capacity we will probably be 'sold out' soon ....

The second media activity today was the visit to the 60 year anniversary of the WereldOmroep. Together with Gert Jan Bennen of Dutch Creative Industry Fund I joined a quiz show, unfortunately we did not win....

I was invited by the Film museum to attend the Biennale. The movie I selected was 'Der Mandarin' an Austrian movie from 1918, with live music in the beautiful Tuschinsky cinema...

An inspiring evening at 'The art show' the medialab of the public broadcasters in The Netherlands. At an informal setting some interesting presentations were mixed with sufficient time to absorb and share what came by... Pentabytes of digital pictures and film must have been made. Bliin had a good session as one of the new wave of media formats that presented..

The open coffee meet up was a good start of the day again. Next to meeting some familiar faces, I met with new people too.
A special treat was seeing Twones' Diederik Martens sporting his Koyono coat...

Every first Tuesday of the month, we have our IPAN meeting gathering over 100 internet professionals for an interesting session with key players in the industry followed by 'schmoozing' or networking as we call it. This time the topic was VCnight and I had the pleasure being on stage representing DCIF with some other Dutch VC's. Stef Kolman of Bliin, one of our portfolio companies gave an excellent pitch to the gathered vc's and internet professionals...
