On April 26 1986 Disaster struck at nuclear power plant #4 in Chernobyl. The new dawn of communism based on nuclear energy and futuristic cities as Pripyat faded away overnight.
The area ('the exclusion zone') still is, and will be for a long long time, full of radiation and void of people. It is easy to forget these 'incidents', but having been there for a photo masterclass with Antonin Kratochvil at Easter, will make sure I will not forget the past and the lasting problems it has caused for the future.
