A great final day at Picnic06. Wonderful wheather, people and programme.
Also introduced to new partners to the Dutch Creative Industry Fund, Telegraaf and IDG and the first investment in FaceCulture.
In all a special day..

Today I had the pleasure co-moderating www.denhaagtelecom.nl with Lot Carlier. An interesting line up from both the telecom sector and the media shared a warm view of the present and future. There will be enough bandwidth to transport all the nice content and services. The big surprise guest was the CEO from Telenet...wow impressive what is happening only a few kilometres from us....

Only a week a way we are getting very close to Picnic06. We are almost fully booked already which shows the enthousiasm created, like Picnic06 posters all over Amsterdam. Bubi Au Yeung made some nice PICNIC green/white closers for Moleskines that I will give to my fellow board members, so that they can record their viewpoints, ideas etc.....

The 'digital academy' is organised by Kennisland (an independent thinktank) for people and organisations in the 'digital pioneers' projects. Basically they get a lot of interesting stuff next to some funding for their project. I am on of the experts on call. An interesting afternoon talking to entrepreneurs and creative people and listening to some discussions on alternative formats of funding and the theory behind peer-to-peer. And simultaneously following the 'Jordaan-festival' that was taken place around the corner...

If you are active in the TIME sector like I am, it becomes imperative to go to the IBC show. This huge broadcasters conference and exhibition is becoming bigger and bigger every year and luckily is still around the corner in the RAI. This Sunday morning I jumped on the Vespa and toured there.
Roderick has his friend Ken staying over. This implies huge amount of playing. Having the Museumsquare around the corner is very convenient as it is a true playground for the boys. Some good restaurants have set up camp here, but unfortunately they were still closed for business at the lunch hour...
