Not only did I discuss the Leica M8 with Willem (we are both keenly awaiting its arrival...) I also brushed his brains with a steel brush (this according to him...). I thought that we had an animated discussion :)

Mary Hodder sent me this Dabbler shirt and of course I will be wearing it with pride. Mary and her team have created an excellent service with Dabble and I enjoy using it, now with the company T-shirt to go with it....

A busy day with workshops and talking to a number of potential startups to invest in was finalised with a great gathering in Paradiso with Paraplay, an interesting themed evening with perfomances and the Twones application that let's people connect through their music. My choice of music left me alone, no one wanted to connect..... Time to change musical taste perhaps....

Being at the forefront of developments is not only interesting as I like to understand what is going on, but it offers also the possiblity to share that knowledge. Business Week contacted me to get more info on the web2.0 situation within Dutch politics and reading the article we are doing well in Europe..... the full article can be found at http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflash/content/oct2006/db20061024_653130.htm
Citing me as important Dutch blogger is flattering, but a little too much :)

The final part of the Digitale Pioniers Academy was creating and presenting a business plan. My Interimic partner Vincent did his usual to connect the presentations. Bliin, a project that I support as 'expert' won one of the prices, 25.000 euro. Congratulations!

The Dutch film museum had it 60th anniversary and celebrated with a special gala evening in Tuschinski in Amsterdam. Two great movies, "de worstelaar" by Paul Verhoeven (who was there actually and sat in front of me) and "Submarine" by Capra. Nice movies in a great environment and interesting people to meet and great...and as special dvd to talk home to watch too...

An interesting day today in many respects, lot of development. I seem to be eating in my club due to events being organised there, then I visit to see my friends.....The exploitation is either very good, or I go not enough... or maybe both?

The ultimate in user generated content? A couple of months ago I bought a BlackCoat Sport from Koyono. A very nifty coat that is wind/waterproof and sports an inbuilt iPod controller. I wear it all the time when on my Vespa or strolling around with my Leica.

I put a picture on flickr only to find Koyono spotting it and putting it on their blog......

Whereas PICNIC06 had the best weather in 300 years (official!) as soon as it was over the weather turned bad. Luckily my good friend Luca had brought me a cover for the Vespa. Therefore I can still buzz around Amsterdam, with minimal water damage .....
