Interimic has several partners that have 'retired' and have moved to different directions, like myself as I went to Veronica. To build on the strength of the partnership the 'alumni' model has been created, complete with an alumni day with contests and prizes....nice prizes....

The new Veronica Radio school class of 24 had their first weekend together in Amsterdam. Tonight we ate together with live DJ'ing from Strandzuid, definitely something to do more often.

Minister Plasterk was at the immovator cross media cafe today in Hilversum. He was fed two hours of discussion and pitches. In the panel with him were investors such as Willem van Kooten ("you have to push were it moves" and "Willem's four T's") and also Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten, the IPAN, Fleck and Meganova man. Frank 'frankwatching' Janssen made sure that all was captured for online reflection....

The ultimate interactive Dutch geek fest, the yearly beach volleyball party, was a great day again. Over 700 Internet people spent the day playing volleyball and discussing the latest interactive concepts, kit etc. The Ipan team made a great effort to get to the final, but unfortunately we had to let a few other teams beat us too it...

Getting deeper in understanding the music business, I am finding true gems of music I quite like and that bring back fond memories. Today I got a copy of The Hacienda Classics, compiled by New Order's Peter Hook. Rather then buying it on-line, I went to an actual record store 'Get Records' in Amsterdam. The price for the 3 box set (€ 24.99) felt right. I was a surprised though to see the average price of a CD being 1.5 to 2 times the price I pay on iTunes for the same music.

Incredible... I was able to log into Skype again after hours of not being able to, due to 'software problems'. Amazing to see a sub 100k online users ... Just like in the beginning...

Never a dull moment visiting the PostCS building in Amsterdam. At the premises of award winning start ups Wakoopa and Fleck the new Apple keyboard was demoed by demogod Arjen, who shared his experiences being the first owner of the device in Amsterdam.
Next I went to see the reason of being there at the first place, Willem Velthoven, to return his Voigtlander lens he was so kind borrowing me. Willem is very busy preparing for all kinds of wonderful things such as Elhema and Fablab. The latter will be used at PICNIC07 too...

As I will be taking pictures of speakers, delegates and lots more, it has become time again to move a little further in the fine art of photography and add some more tools...
At PICNIC I hope to have this going smoothly and take the great speaker line up into the digital archives...

Today's photo workshop by ace photographer Caro Bonink took us all over Amsterdam. Next to checking out the developments at NDSM, we went to see the Gay Canal Parade, a happening that is becoming more and more commercial and lot's of Dutch corporates send their own flagships...

Interesting to see what happens when a blogger/photographer visits you, in this case me...

Henk-Jan Winkeldermaat came to discuss whether I wanted to Keynote on the High Profile new media conference on November 19. Of course I agreed to do so.

He blogged about the visit, recorded the session and put the pictures online..

New media in full swing....
